Milan’s only three-star restaurant, in the Museum of Cultures: creative cooking with layered, balanced flavours.

A contemporary trattoria in Porta Romana with a menu that changes daily and a weakness for offal, above all fried tripe.
Guide MICHELIN Italia 2026: Bib Gourmand
Diego Rossi opened Trippa in 2015 in Via Vasari in the Porta Romana district. The room is simple with a retro charm, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The menu changes daily with the market and the season. One focus is the quinto quarto, the ‘fifth quarter’, as Italians call offal and the less noble cuts of the animal. Vegetable dishes, pasta and regional classics also feature.
The name says it all: the best-known dish is trippa fritta, crisp fried tripe. In the dining room Pietro Caroli welcomes the guests. Trippa is one of the most sought-after addresses in the city, and the Guide MICHELIN advises booking early. It suits a relaxed dinner of a high craft standard: no tasting menu and no ceremony, but with a sharp eye for the produce.
Good to know: Open Monday to Friday for dinner, on Fridays also for lunch; closed on Saturday and Sunday. Book via the website, as far ahead as possible.
