Guide MICHELIN France 2026: one star; 50 Top Italy 2026: no. 2 of the best Italian restaurants in the world
Il Carpaccio is the Italian restaurant of the Raffles palace hotel Le Royal Monceau on Avenue Hoche. Since 2021 Oliver Piras, born in Sardinia, and Alessandra Del Favero from the Veneto have run the kitchen. The two met at Da Vittorio in Brusaporto and previously earned a Michelin star with their restaurant Aga in the Dolomites. Il Carpaccio itself has held a star since 2022.
The cooking interprets Italian classics with a light hand and precisely chosen produce. One dish recalls their shared apprenticeship: the paccheri alla Vittorio, short, thick tube pasta with a sauce of three kinds of tomato and parmesan, a speciality of Da Vittorio. According to the Guide MICHELIN, the wine list focuses on Piedmont and Tuscany. The dessert menu comes from the pastry chefs Yazid Ichemrahen and Alexandre Favre.
The dining room recalls a baroque winter garden with a glass roof and opens onto a terrace in the inner courtyard. The restaurant is suited to special occasions and to guests who want to experience Italian haute cuisine in the setting of a Parisian grand hotel. As an introduction, choose the weekly changing lunch menu. Dinner is served from Tuesday to Saturday, vegetarian dishes are available, and the restaurant is step-free.
Good to know: Lunch menu Tuesday to Friday for €80 (amuse-bouche, starter, main course, excluding drinks, not on public holidays); closed on Sunday and Monday.
